Things to remember when picking up or receiving your mounts.
So, now that have downed that trophy bird that you have been so patiently waiting for (ya right) more like (anxiously) waiting on, and you know you are going to have that Goose or Turkey mounted (for instants). You know you want it flying and have a place on the wall all picked out for it. You get that phone call to come pick-up yer bird, so you hop in your Ford Focus or small car or truck etc....and head on over to pick up that Turkey with a wing-span of 56" & length of 3 plus feet.
(I'm laughing with you not @ you!) You arrive, you see that beautiful mount hanging on the wall, you think man....nice job! Then BING! a light goes on, how in the world am I going to get that thing ......in that car!
Note: A large Canada is about the size as that turkey!
Once you get your transportation figured out, concider bringing a friend along to carrie or hold while transporting. If you do not have someone to help at that time, call ahead and I will set-up a method for you.

Care & Cleaning
Up keep or care of your mount(s) is fairly simple.
Use a feather duster or similar to remove dust and keep clean, always dust with the feathers (down stroke) not against them. Never use canned or compressed air to clean bird mounts.
Other things to concider: Do not place mount(s) in an area of high moisture, i.e. bathrooms, etc... This may cause bacteria and lead to feather loss. Feathers also do not react well in these area's and may curl or become distorted after time.
Also, for you smokers. Smoke (nicotine) will stain a bird after a period of time, especially white birds, swans, snow geese, ross geese etc...
There you go!
